EZPrompt Direct

EZPrompt Direct is a separate utility (found in the Start | Programs | EZPrompt Version 6.0  program group) that permits the user to launch EZPrompt Version 6.0  directly and immediately begin prompting.

This implementation is not only useful for situations like scrolling text in kiosk displays, etc., it also is helpful when RTF files generated by Microsoft Word must be prompted directly. EZPrompt Direct bypasses the EZPrompt Version 6.0  text editor and prompts the file with no filtration.

EZPrompt Direct is designed to use RTF files. Documents saved in other formats (e.g.  .DOC, .TXT, etc.) may not function as expected. Note: .DOCX files produced by Microsoft Office 2007 and later are not compatible with EZPrompt.

RTF stands for "Rich Text Format", a file format standardized by Microsoft (circa 1987) for creating formatted text files. RTF files include information such as font style, size, color, and all document formatting instructions without the use of any special hidden codes or binary characters.

Due to the absence of binary encoding and special characters, RTF files have become a defacto universal format, meaning they can be read by nearly all word processors without loss of formatting, regardless of language or styles.

EZPrompt Direct provides the correct syntax for using EZPrompt Version 6.0  in conjunction Windows Scheduler to launch prompting jobs on an unattended basis, or to create your own desktop icons to launch prompting jobs.
